Until recently Alacati was a small overslept village, in which Fischer, Handwerker and Bauern lived. After a few years ago some Alacati lovers began the typical stone houses of Alacati affectionately to restore, have now Lifestyle of magazines and discovers different trendsetters Alacati for itself. Now also the mayor decided, which further houses should be built be restored and new in the old style. Over 100 of such stone houses are developed and out once purged ruins already become substantial domiciles. Artists and well-known personalities settle in the once overslept Oertchen. Architect's offices, shops with antiques and Wohnassesoires, fine Bars, cafes and luxorioese restaurants alternate now with the original tea tubes and Kraemerlaedchen. An institution will remain however surely always received, the weekly market of Alacati, well-known on the entire peninsula.
